Jeffrey S. Strickland earned his Bachelor's degree from Auburn University-Montgomery (BSBA, 1991) and Master of Business Administration with a finance concentration from Auburn University at Montgomery (MBA, 1995).  He earned his law degree from the Nashville School of Law (J.D., 2007).  He was a financial consultant for over five years and was a private investor for an additional three years. Jeff was a paralegal with the firm from 2004 until graduating law school and becoming an associate attorney.   He manages complex litigations and works generally in the areas of business transactions, wills and estates, workers' compensation, subrogation, ERISA and securities matters.

Jeff handles all types of business matters, including business formation, business disputes, drafting contracts, non-compete and service agreements, negotiating, drafting and reviewing business acquisition and sale documents, and brokers the sale of businesses, including dental practices.

Jeff is active in the area of estate planning, probate and estate administration. He has experience as an executor of a decedent’s estate and can serve in that capacity, if needed.

He represents clients that are injured at work to secure the benefits to which they are entitled under Tennessee's Workers' Compensation Act.

Jeff represents select clients for subrogation of large loss property damages as well as seeking monies paid upon behalf of an injured worker against the at-fault third party.

He handles ERISA matters representing individuals that were denied long-term disability benefits or had their benefits cancelled.

He utilizes his experience and knowledge learned while working in the financial services field to evaluate, plan strategy and pursue matters involving a broker or company that breaches the duties owed to their clients.

Jeff is a devout Auburn fan and travels to most of their home football games, as well as returns frequently to his wife's alma mater, the University of the South, in Sewanee.  He resides in Nashville with his wife and two daughters.  He enjoys travel and cooking.
